Welcome everyone to the 2015 Schools Triathlon Challenge. Schools have now received information about the STC events being held at Bellerive beach in Hobart and Devonport Bluff this November. A record 4650 students from 138 schools participated last year, we hope to crack the 5000 participant barrier for the first time this year. I look forward to another great year of events and working with you all to provide a great lifestyle opportunity to our students. All information and entry forms are available on the website “Event Info” tab, the “other information” tab in the drop down box under the “Event Info” tab also contains a lot of information along with the Q&A tab.
This year sees the start of a Schools Triathlon Challenge Facebook page to help communicate information to families and schools in the lead up to the events. Please search for “Schools Triathlon Challenge” and “like” the Facebook page to keep updated.
A huge thankyou to the Pennicott Foundation for again being the naming rights sponsor of the event.
So what are you waiting for, print off an entry form and get it to your Physical Education Teacher. Tell your friends and be a part of one of the most fun events on the school sporting calendar.
The Hobart Schools Triathlon Challenge events held in Hobart were a great success last week with approximately 3600 students participating from grades 3-12. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the marshals, volunteers and helpers that make the event so successful. I love how the STC brings so many people together all trying to help bring about a successful experience for our students. Can I also say a huge thankyou to The Pennicott Foundation who have been so supportive of this event in their sponsorship and will be ongoing into 2015..Great things ahead. Its off to Devonport this week, where another 1100 students from the North of Tasmania will enjoy the benefits of physical activity through the Schools Tri Challenge.
